I <u>HIGHLY</u> suggest you look into the Weight Watchers system. My wife & I lost about 35lbs pounds each in about 6 months.
I wouldn't bother with the meetings, monthly fees, or actually buying their food (although my wife subscribed and we benefitted greatly), just learn how to figure out points on your own. There's tons of websites devoted to this.
