Default Re: Thread

I went back east for xmas/new year's and avoided the internet like the plague (especially 2p2). Too many friends and fam to catch up with (and pounds to gain ). I watched all the games, though, so don't worry.

re: Big Al. I've had a man crush on him since his rookie year, so I'm glad he's coming around. What I like most is the attitude he's developed. He's still humble, but he's not afraid to thump his chest after big 3-point plays.

I also liked some of the nuggets of info in that column. For instance, the importance for rebounders to get up off the floor 4 or 5 straight times in a row. Just not something I ever thought about.

re: Tony Allen. I'm still so undecided on him. He still makes some of the dumbest plays I've ever seen. Once he starts to drive, I pretty much give up on the notion that he might pass. You can see it in the way he lowers his shoulder. You can pencil him in for at least 1 pass to the crowd a game. I like the effort, I like the confidence, I love the defense. I just hope he gets a bit smarter in his decision making.

How long before we shop Telfair? He looks terrible.

From a few games back: wtf at Doc throwing in the towel at Golden State? I supported him bringing in Powe, cuz Powe is actually solid and could develop into a good 15-20 minute a game guy on some teams. So it was fine getting him some minutes in front of his home town. But you're down 10 with 3 minutes against a defenseless team and you bring in Allan Ray, along with Delonte, Rondo, AND Telfair? Jesus. Guess it didn't matter, because I knew the game was over when Mike Dunleavy drove the lane and threw down a monster dunk.
