Re: Stud poker book?
Andy and I disagree on West. While there are some bad examples and weak tight or limited thinking in the book (and by the way there's bad stuff in 7csfap, as well), overall it provides an excellent framework for a player new to stud. What makes it better than other beginner books (from Kammen's awful one to Adams decent effort) is that it introduces hand-reading, implied odds and other advanced concepts in a simple way. So while it's not perfect, I still think West is the best starting point for stud.
