Re: Muckleshoot for New Years
Others can speak more authoritatively, but I've been to the Muck a few times. They have a continuous 10-20 game going, usually 2+ tables, and usually a 20-40 as well. Often 30-60. I haven't seen anything higher than that on a regular basis. I haven't played the 20-40, but I can tell you the 10-20 is a pretty profitable game, especially on weekends.
The Muck also apreads a 5-500 spread-limit game (by letter of the WA state gaming regs, true NLHE not permitted, but the 5-500 spread is close enough. I think it has 5-10 blinds.) I haven't played in that game, but friends tell me it's pretty juicy.
I would say the Muck 10-20 is just a hair tougher than say, the Bellagio or Wynn 8-16...probably comparable to the Bellagio 15-30.
Finally, at lower limits, Muckleshoot's 3-6 and 4-8 LHE games are among the softest I've seen anywhere.
Can't speak to Tulalip from experience; haven't been there. My understanding, however, is that they also have comparable mid-limit games and spread-limit similar to the Muck. I also think Tulalip is a little larger (Muckleshoot has about 20 tables or so, typically 4-5 of which are 10-20 & higher, the rest are 3-6 and 4-8).
The true Muck expert would be bernie...hopefully he'll come along and post before you leave on your trip, and correct any errors I've typed.
