The USA took care of Imperial Japan and Nazi-Germany quite nicely. A couple of second rate dictators will be easy to handle.

You can't compare modern empires to historical ones because, well, we got the nukes. They changed everything. No modern superpower will ever again be able to "conquer" another modern superpower, MAD takes care of that.
