Rex Hudler was another former Expo who fits that mold.

Yes! Wonderdog! You're bringing back memories, man. Like many Canadians I followed both Toronto and the Spos back them.

Remember when Henry Rodgriguez was smacking homers in '96 and the local press nicknamed him "O'Henry" and the fans would throw O'Henry chocolate bars on the field? Good times, good times.

Yuppers...I threw many an Oh Henry bar onto the field that year. The Expos almost made the playoffs that year. They had the lead in the National league East at the all-star break, but didn't have the horses to keep it going for the rest of the season. They were tied with the Padres and Dodgers for the wild card going into the final week of the season. Unfortunately, the Expos had to play the Braves in a FIVE game series to close out the season. They managed to win 2 out of 5, but ended up getting passed in the standings by both the Dodgers and the Padres.

That winter, they lost the few remaining stars that they'd managed to hold on to after the 94 strike.
