The dangerous part is that the "chip dumpers" could be +ev players themselves. Trying to win the tourney, but dump when its better for the backer.
However, this could get expensive for the backer. He would have to pay the dumper some money besides his entry fee to dump. (how much would he have to pay a +ev player to agree to this?)

Somebody tell them to back me in tunica in Jan in the main event (and maybe for awhile after).
I will back myself in all tournaments <5k (10k is too high a % of my total bankroll for me to feel good about backing myself in a tourney, and its still a single didgit %.) and I smash online NL and limit.

(oh yeah, I also know 1 other guy who crushes online NL who would be willing to get backed in the main event, perhaps all 10k tourneys for the next year or 2.)
