Default Re: The most famous person you met (and story )?

I've met Neal Boortz and made enough of an impression to get mentioned on the air the next day. I've met Michael Badnarik (former Libertarian Party presidential candidate) and we've had him over to our house a couple a couple of times. I've met Aaron Russo (of America: Freedom to Fascism fame) several times from when he was campaigning for the LP presidential ticket; my wife still has his number in her cell phone. We're pretty good friends now with Vin Suprynowicz, a libertarian syndicated columnist for the Las Vegas Review Journal (and great guy).

I've been arm's length from Hugh Hefner when I went to the Playboy Mansion, but I wouldn't say that I met him. I did get to meet and chat with Kendra, one of his three current "girlfriends." I graduated with Phillip Rivers, who is a vat-grown quarterbacking machine, at NCSU (where he is already a legend), and met him briefly in the hallway at the ceremony.

I know several people who've met really famous people. My sister went to high school with Michael Jordan (I went to the same school, E.A. Laney HS, but it was years later), and was his chemistry lab partner I think. She also shook hands with Ronald Reagan when she graduated the Naval Academy. A buddy of mine was Sean Connery's executive assistant for a year or so in Hollywood. My wife debated Bill O'Reilly (kicked his ass) on The O'Reilly Factor as well as Tucker Carlson and James Carville on Crossfire, but those were from a local studio; she didn't actually meet them in person. The second time she went to the Playboy Mansion she met several celebrities, Luke Wilson, the Barbi Twins, etc. I can't remember them all. Another friend was an extra on Dawson's Creek and met a bunch of famous people, the only one I remember being Katie Holmes. My ex-wife met Def Leppard (she probably blew them).

This is a good thread, OP.
