Default Re: The most famous person you met (and story )?

Three stories.

(1) When I was eleven, I was out in California with a woman who used to babysit me when I was in kindergarten. We went out to see a Clippers game, but when we got to the window her credit card couldn't be read and we couldn't pick up our tickets. We were just about to give up and go eat pizza instead when suddenly this huge dude who looked a little like Fabio came up and tapped her on the shoulder. "Are you looking for some tickets?" he asked. And he gave her two tickets. Before we could thank him, he had disappeared, along with the two ladies he had with him.

We walked inside, intending to go straight to the balcony seats, when we were stopped by an official who asked to see our tickets. We showed him, and he practically fell over himself trying to take us into a roped-off area. We walked through and found ourselves at courtside, second row, being seated by like 8 ushers. Pretty exciting stuff.

The guy comes over at halftime and my former babysitter takes off to sit with him while I sit alone with one of his (very hot) lady friends. The Clips hit a shot at the buzzer to win. It was cool.

Turns out the guy who gave us the tickets used to play Hercules on that TV show. Best night of my former babysitter's life.

2) Curt Shilling lives in my town, and he goes to all his son's little league baseball games (my brother plays against him all the time). I gave his daughter a piggyback ride while she was wearing his world series ring.

3) I was on a game show hosted by Dick Clark. He's a douchebag. That probably deserves its own thread some time.
