Also, i just shoved AKs on the button whilst on the bubble (18 spots pay, we are 20 or so) of a $30 MTT into the uber shortstack (he had 2BBs and it was his BB) and a guy who had slightly less chips than me. Is this bad? Is the guy with slightly less chips calling with 88 justifying that i should be folding AKs or is that simply results orientated thinking?

My guess is push, cos moving up another spot or 10 gets me $50 back and i want to get to the FT.

Ya that push is fine in MTT's you actually want to play for first and the 88 call is also good. The thing about MTT's is given their payout structure being really top heavy you want to try to get first like the only effect the bubble should really have is you should be stealing more because people play bad on them. But unless making the money is a lot of money for you, i.e. If I'm on the bubble of the pca I'll probably play super nitty but even then I'd push AK in that spot you described.

For cash reading msnl and ssnl are good I'd probably do something that I didn't do but should have and that's start playing a limit lower than the sngs you play. Two random points
1. MSNL and SSNL are both good but don't treat them as teh gospel talk to other people about hands and figure stuff out on your own.
2. Don't pay too much attention to HSNL I used to read it a lot and I started trying to do stuff they do in lower stake games and it just isn't a good idea because the games are completely different and a lot of +ev plays in High stakes game suck at lower stakes games.
3. IMO the biggest diferrence between the two is in cash you need to start folding hands like TPTK which you almost never fold in sngs you need to start folding more hands in cash at least that's what my biggest problem was.
