Note that after her around-the-world travels performing a variety of jobs, that she came back to the US and was hired as a project coordinator for a corporation!
With that sort of experience perhaps you can convince your buddy Boris to give her a job at his firm to help get her back on her feet. If she brings donuts, of course.
