Default Re: **Offical uNL Microbrew thread: December (nc)**

RAH...do you respect me as a player??? I went on a $900 downswing at NL50 in a matter of 6,000 hands. Most of it was from "bad beats", but this is exactly why we have a bankroll. If I hadn't freaked out about the beats and went on complete monkey tilt in 1/2 my sessions the downswing would have been about $500 I'd say. I guess my point is you'll run worse than you ever thought possible. You cannot let it bother you. If you do, it will probably change your play and you won't even know it. You'll end up becoming more passive in fear of getting sucked out or something, but you gotta try to play a solid game night-in, night-out.

I've personally got 1k hands on you at NL100 and 1k hands on you at NL50. Your numbers from NL50 are mostly from before I saw you post all these horrendous beats. You were playing 19.5/13. At NL100 (during your downswing) though you turned into a total nit at 13.4/8.55. I really really believe that your downswing/mental state has affected your game (it did mine).

My advice: If a beat bothers you, click sitout on your 4-5 tables, go get a drink of water, go to the bathroom ,whatever....come back in a little while and start your session over. I've come to the conclusion it's gonna be hard as heck to win at NL50+ if you let the variance roller coaster suck you in so you're constantly worrying about it. Just be happy that you're getting your money in ahead, think +EV.
