You're underestimating the immense amount of specialization it takes to be a successful pitcher, even on the high school level. Just being strong and coordinated won't even come close to cutting it, especially when those guys simply have not trained themselves to deliver a baseball with maximum speed and control.

Edit: Do you even realize how few actual pitchers (from the pool of all players in high school or older) throw 90 mph+ for strikes?
