I went with the Macallan 12 and the Highland Park 12. I had about 2 ounces of the Balvenie 12 left, so I was able to sample the 3 of them together.

my initial thoughts were that the Macallan was the sweetest and fullest, the Highland Park was the smoothest, and the Balvenie imparted the most "alcohol" taste. but my repeated tastings gave me lots of different flavors. Especially when I tried to sense what the label/reviews suggested, I was able to pick up some specific things like vanilla in the Macallan.
