Default Re: Where\'s Dave Tuchman?

My thoughts exactly, VBCardinal. I think Dave's exit will signal the point where Live at the Bike jumps the shark, unless they make some changes and make up for the loss.

First, I think Bostin is a good "third man", but the show really needs its commentators to be two professional poker players who play day in and day out. Bart and Dave could engage in an intelligent argument about how to play a hand, based on their experiences everyday in the games at the Bike. But to be brutally honest, Bostin doesn't measure up to Dave in this respect. The show really loses a lot of value without another pro to argue with Bart.

As for chatter on non-poker topics, there's nothing better than Dave needling Bart about whatever the topic might be. Bart and Bostin have good chemistry, too, but it's just not the same.

Second, the show needs to diversify its game and player base. I think viewers are getting tired of the same players in the same game night in and night out. Let's see some nights with the 300-500 game, or even go find a VERY deep 80NL or 40NL game and move it up to table 00. You'd be surprised at how much action and gamboooling there is in a really deep 80NL game.

As for myself, I will keep watching for a while if Dave leaves, but if I'm not getting stimulating analysis from two professionals, I think I'll have to go the way of the Tuckster.
