When I first went to the casino near my place and started playing the big game there, I completely ran over the table. I later realized that all of the middle-aged regulars there probably just figured that a 22 year old kid in tshirt who rode his bike to the casino (in the rain, damn it) wouldn't make bluffs and plays with the amount of money we were playing for.

So basically, my table image (that of not a baller but just some kid who's getting a really lucky run of cards) lets me destroy them. I think if I went in wearing a suit, or even just a nice shirt with a collar and pants and whatnot, I'd lose a fair bit of the respect I get now.

Remains to be seen how long it takes for them to realize that i'm a player, better than they are at poker, and willing to make big moves.
