"Improve your Poker" is one of the best poker books you can buy period.
PL/NL Poker is pretty decent too, only the NL H'em-Quiz is a bit subpar I think. The book does a very good job of analyzing the elements of NL/Pl poker and is less "academic" than NLHTAP.
His Middle Limit Hold'em book took me a year to finish, but it's worth much more than the 25$ it cost.
His Omaha booklet is a bit thin, but a good first step. Rolf Slotboom's PLO book is probably a decent second book, although I havent read it. Goldmund
