I'm not a total scotch novice, as I've bought (and happily consumed) bottles of Balvenie 12yr Doublewood, 15yr Single Barrel, 18yr Glenlivet, and 12yr Macallan before, admittedly some "intro" malts, but solid nonetheless. Also, I'm looking forward into branching out beyond the Speyside malts. I'll try to remember to come by and post my impressions, not sure how long I'll have tonight, otherwise I'd stay and try every damn one if they would let me.
