Re: brainteaser

Jim and others,
Got the solution. Man, it's so simple once you step back and think about it.
I'll explain in detail since this has flummoxed everyone for so long.
Here's the key to the solution.
mike writes "but villain does not have a Q"
So a lot of us naturally just stopped thinking about hands with a Q in them.
But you have to think outside the box.
Villian does not have a Q. He has TWO Q's.
So, with QQ he flops quad Queens against opps Kings full of Queens.
Seems so obvious when I explain it, doesn't it? It's like "OMG HOW THE F DID I NOT THINK OF THAT?"
So, thanks for the great challenge Mike, QQ for Quad Queens over Kings full. What a sick cooler!
Really hope BBV keeps the great brainteasers coming, this was really challenging and fun.

Diablo,
I was skeptical when I first looked over your proof, as I vividly remembered something about "no pocket pairs," in the OP, which I did not double check.
Fortunately, I looked down the thread later, and found this:

He doesn't hold a pocket pair, he holds quads.

Which put it all in perspective!
I'm pretty sure that the simulator only did a check on the pocket cards, and didn't take them into account with the board.
This makes a lot of sense. Thanks for putting your time into this.
