I agree with almost everything Limon is saying. I played golf in High School (I was a scratch for three years) at a nationally competitive level in Canada.
You play a very similar game to my dad who is also a scratch golfer. He hits the ball 250 at most, but never misses a fairway and can get it up and down from anywhere. People are always surprised when his final score is tallied. It's funny how people associate distance and ball flight with good players when the game is basically all chipping and putting (at least at the level you are playing, clearly +3 and above its different).
