Reading it to my kids right now. My grandmother read this book to me as a kid. Every 10 year old in the world should have this book read to them by an adult.

My third grade teacher read this to our class, and when those damn dogs died, the whole class was bawling. It takes a lot for a book to get a bunch of 9-year old boys to cry.
