I agree switch to 6max now rather than later. It will speed up your learning and improve your skills faster than FR IMHO. I never played lower than NL10 but played alot of Stars NL10 where I learnt the ropes. I doubt there's much change from your previous stakes but I found a difference going to nL25 and had to make a second attempt before finally moving up.
I would suggest as soon as your rolled/want to start taking a shot start playing NL25.
