Re: Obligatory semi-regular improve forum quality post

But perhaps the problem is that dividing the forums by stakes isn't really the best way, but that dividing them into beginner/intermediate/advanced is, because the stakes one plays at doesn't necessarily indicate same.

Pros and tourists have one thing in common in the casino's -they play the stakes they can afford. Most regulars play the same limit, whether it's the best game or not. And for tourists it's the same thing. If they're used to hanging with guys with money and a few grand means nothing to them, they're not playing 2-4. They're playing 20-40, even if they no idea what a chop or time pot is and have little idea of how to play the game.
So I think that, to a certain extent, the same can be said about hands posted on 2+2. It's assumed the stakes indicate the posters ability and understanding of the game. I think that's far from the case. Then again, the reality is that most think they're better than they are and few would want to be a part of the beginner forums. So limits solve that. But I think many are in the middle area and would benefit from a forum where the stakes aren't a determining factor in the play of the hand. Nothing will be changed, so I just showed how smart I am to waste this much time and space on the subject.
