In terms of the worst-written book, I don't think anything compares with Winning Concepts in Draw and Lowball, which was obviously written in some language only Mason speaks, translated into Portuguese by some primitive version of babelfish, and then translated into English by someone who didn't speak Portuguese, but had a French-Portuguese dictionary. (He probably didn't speak French either.)

Alternately it may have had its copyediting outsourced to Bizarro-World, where copyeditors' job is to introduce as many errors as possible.

It does contain good advice for games nobody plays anymore, though, in much the way you might find Beowulf useful if you had to fight off Grendel, who happened to give you a few days' advance notice.
