Re: NEW VERSION available: DogWatch Handgrabber 1.1.0.4
i can attest that they're still working thru some pretty annoying bugs -- basically, the current state of things is that the program doesn't handle all-ins well at all. BUT player actions are (so I'm told) fine. so the net effect is that it's helpful to view certain action stats like VPIP/PFR, but the numbers for amount won / rake paid are way off. The showdown #s are also affected by the all-in thing --- but i'm told that all-ins (before the river card, that is) account for only around 1 to 2% of all hands played...so the wackiness shouldn't cause TOO much of a prob for showdown stats, but it's not perfect by any means.
At the rate they're moving now (i am trading a couple emails a day w/ them), my estimate, which i'm pulling str8 out my pooper, is that they might have the bugs worked out in 5 to 7 days. But PT Pat is only starting to code PT for their proprietary Bodog HH format now, so that might be 2 wks off. Granted, u can currently have the program give u either the proprietary Bodog-format HHs (which u can't import into PT) or the Party-style HHs (which u cAN import into PT as Party hands, but are the ones that cause all the all-in problems.)
At the end of the day, this is a promising program, but the developers rushed to commercialize it long before it was anywhere near market-ready. They're somewhat responsive to feedback, though, and I'm confident that the final product will be a helpful tool.
P.S. AP10 -- best to let this thread die and take any Q's to the developers directly or to their forum...under the radar = good.
