It seems like you might be misunderstanding the relevance of bet sizes.
There's no simple answer. I could, irresposibly, say "Bet more!", or "Bet less!", but there's no answer there.
Every bet you make should have a single purpose, which is to cause your opponent to make an error. Either make him fold a better hand, or make him pay inappropriate odds to continue playing a losing hand.
To do this you must account for several things. How strong is my hand, relative to the board? What are my opponents likely holdings? What type of player are they? How likely is my hand to improve? What does my opponent likely think my holdings are? How likely is he to be drawing? What did I have for lunch? Etc. etc..
For every street of every hand you must process and evaluate all the information at your disposal to come up with the "perfect" bet amount for the situation you are currently in. This is playing poker.

Long story short: It depends.
I know this isn't the quick fix you were looking for, but I think a quick fix isn't what you need.
