Default Re: What are your goals with poker?

To be honest, my goal was sitting around 8-10K per month (if I play just 100NL), but it has gone down now with the recent legislation and such. I am not as confident right now in being able to win around 10PTBB at 100NL (something that was going well for me at PP). Right now, I'd just like to make a few K per month playing limited hours.

My first goal is around 20k or so, at which point I would move out from my parent's house. I don't have a particular time frame, but sooner is always better.

My goal yearly would be from 100-200k. I think it's reasonable, but not too easy. I havent played seriously for very long, so I'm not sure how well it would go.

I made about 5k in 140 hours playing 25-100NL, and considering that's not even a month's worth of playing (though it was over a few months of time), I'm sure if I were playing 400NL or so, I would be making pretty good bank. Problem is, future valuation per hour may fall with all this legislation crap. Kept me up at night occasionally.

My biggest question and concern for myself is putting myself in front of the computer and playing enough hours. Though I'm highly considering going to some local live NL games (correction, spread limit with a huge bet cap) which would probably be very loose and very easy. When I sit live, I can play 10-12 hours at a time. When I'm at home, it's hard to sit down.
