That's one of the things about the croc though, it's muscles that it uses to open its mouth and move it's neck aren't near as strong as other parts of his body. It's been said before you just gotta keep his mouth shut

I am fully aware that the muscles that open a crocs mouth are not strong. But the croc could easily use its bodyweight to flail or roll over and get the human off of him. Also, getting hold of his mouth to begin with without using rope is no easy task.
Look at the fifth video on this page:
link It took rope and over 5 men (including steve irwin) to subdue this crocodile. And that crocodile was not even that big.
