I know a few people who went to work at GS, Lehman, etc, in both trading and other capacities. One is looking to take a huge paycut to get out of trading and out of NYC after a couple years. Another took a decent paycut to get out of the ibanking grind and do similar, but less stressful, work at a different big corp. in NYC. Most hate the work and like the city.

There's no way to know if you're cut out for the work without doing it. Best of luck.
