Far from NC, but don\'t know where else to post this.
Seriously, the most stressful time of graduate school is the absolute end. I am approaching it and I am stressed big-time. I have things to worry about that include, but are not limited to, 1) finishing experiments- and anyone who's never done them, there's always something holding you back from getting perfect results. 2) writing paper for said results. 3) Writing thesis, definitely a big one here. 4) FINDING A JOB. Seriously I'm finding this one to be the most stressful. My Ph.D. has limited my Chemical Engineering field to what I do in my research. This is what scares me the most. I have developed impeccable lab abilities, done a few internships along the way, but STILL... looking for jobs on the internet for what I do is nearly impossible. Including the fact that now that I'm married, I can't exactly go with the job that it seemed I was going to take in the first place. The jobs that I qualify for are here in CT for Hamilton Sundstrand, TX for NASA JSC, or CA for Honeywell. None of these places are places my wife or I want to eventually end up at. That means that I have to start fresh on my thought process for jobs.
PLEASE... someone who's been through this... HELP! I am stressed out and am turning to a NC thread for help. (pretty sad).
