Default Re: How many young players out there actually make it???

To the people asking about me, the only big bankroll jump I had via an MTT was when I hit a $2,000 score in a $20 tournament. My bankroll before was about $600. I had tons of success in the $200+15 sngs before I ever hit another significant tournament score.

FWIW, turning a small roll into a large amount of cash with a minimal risk of ruin is fairly easy if you are a winning player that knows how to properly manage a bankroll. The key, definately, is conservative bankroll management. Don't play 25 NL with $200. Your bankroll isn't big enough. Play some $5 sngs or micro limit cash games on Stars or UB.

Personally, if I had to start all over again with just $200, I think I would play the $6 turbo SNGs on stars. If my bankroll dropped below $120 or so, I would move down to the $3 sngs there. I don't think I would have any problem doing this mentally.

I've actually been thinking about making a prop bet on things like this. Let's say I have 5 days to turn $200 into $5,000. If I can find people willing to bet against me, there is a good chance something like this will happen in the near future.
