I'm not a fan of Nb4, but Be4 does not have to be played defensive.

10. Nd4 Be4
Now white has two main options 0-0, f3.
White will not play Bxe4 its not even a real option right?

After
10. Nd4 Be4
11. 0-0 Bc5 and we will transpose back to the "winner of the poll move?"

11. f3 Qb6 is an attempt at mixing things up and avoids your concern of being stuck in defense.
