Why don't you explain what you mean, I don't quite understand the "come on!" part or the question for that matter. I wasn't advising the OP to get the book inscribed, then break Doyle's hand or anything.

If you read my post, the book more than triples in value with the author's autograph. "And do what after getting an autograph?" I would say that's the OP's personal business. What I might do if I had a signed copy...hmmm...find a collector who would love to have a signed copy of the 1st edition, save it for my son, put it away until it becomes even more rare. I guess I could do whatever I wanted when I got it autographed.
