Let me clarify. I am not speaking of 2006 alone.

Yeah, its a little confusing when you don't follow the entire conversation. I went on a weird tangent in this discussion. My team rankings in the poll were based on 2006 alone and Ohio State garnered my #1 vote.

Maybe my statement "Let me clarify blah blah blah" during my tangent was weird and wrong. I'll admit that. Sometimes I don't explain my position very well at all. Forgive me.

That being said, it's absolutely ridiculous to think that Ohio State (or ANY team ranked #1) has a chance to win 8/10 from other top 10 teams. The talent margins are simply not that wide. There is no way tOSU's talent is 60% better than Tennessee, Auburn, Georgia, and LSU. It's just not possible. Even after tOSU thumped an overrated Iowa team, I still think Iowa would win 3 on a neutral field.

It's hard to quantify, though.

Simply put, a #1 recruit is barely better than a #5 recruit. Only USC has recruited the talent to have a distinct edge over the field, but even then, it's not a 60% difference.
