Tell that to the families of the 3 people killed last week in Jersey. The driver blew a .09 and said he had 3 beers. (Granted I know he was probably lying about 3 beers, but that's what he said).

Not to sound like the dick here, but who's to say the accident wouldn't of happened if he was stone sober? The fact is any accident where alcohol is involved it's just instantly assumed that the alcohol was the reason that it happened. Obviously this is sometimes the case, but not always.

So you are saying it's normal to accelerate in the fast lane and not see the car in front of you and rear end it?
[/ QUOTE ]
For me no, but for the rest of the retards on the road maybe. People look at their cd player, answer their phone and all sorts of other things that take their eyes off the road and make something like this possible. Who am I to say what caused the accident? I wasn't there, but to say that it was the booze, and not some other distraction is just stupid. Sober people get in crashes too, and whatever they're doing at that time to cause it isn't "normal", but it still happens.

You are right, people do all these things. Now add alcohol to the mix and it lowers your reaction rate. Now do you understand my point as to why you shouldn't drive when you are drinking? Driving is dangerous enough as it is, don't compound it by adding alcohol to the mix. Hell, if it were up to me, there would be zero tolerance when it comes to having alcohol in your system if you are driving.
Let me ask you this, if you knew a pilot was drinking while he was flying a 747 with 200 passengers, would you be OK with that if he was "only" drinking 2 or 3 beers an hour?
