that's just Marty showing his sense of humor. I take it you didn't see him on Conan.
This was a damn great movie. The few pretentions it held were quickly blown away. It was awesomely written, awesomely acted and shot and edited to perfection.
Every top critic in the country loved it. I guess they're first year film students too.
