when you crawl out of the bushes, find your car, figure out that its 4AM, you're cool to drive, because the cops look for drunks at 2AM, not 4AM, and I mean, you gotta get home somehow. Just drive exactly at the speed limit with hands at ten and two*, concentrating on keeping your car exactly two feet from the line marking your lane, checking your mirrors for cops and fully expecting a deer to run out in front of you. That's how careful you have to be. The drunker you are, the more effort this takes.

* If you need a hand to cover one eye to see properly, use your left hand to cover whichever eye corrects the problem, and your right hand at twelve. Vice versa if you're left-handed.
