Default Re: How old are you? Where do you live?

Canterbury had $10 commemorative chips made for their grand opening in June of 2000 (they had a "soft" opening in April of that year). I don't know if they had a lot of those leftover or ordered more or what, but when the largest limit went from $15/30 to $30/60 in August 2001, they used those commemorative chips. I had lost most of my money that night and was drinking the rest when they converted a $15/30 game to $30/60 around midnight of whatever the magic day was, so I witnessed the first $30/60 game at Canterbury. There was a problem because the yellow $2 chips blended in too well with the $10 chips, which are also yellowish, so they quickly removed the $2 chips from that game and only used $1 and $5 chips when making change for the rake. The commemorative chips were a different style from other CP chips and were slightly thinner. Recently there were concerns that someone might put 21 chips in a row in a rack as the chips wore down, so they switched to the brown $10 chips last summer, I think. Irony of ironies, the surveillance folks can't distinguish between the brown $10 chips and the red $5 chips, so they can only use $1 and $2 chips to make change in the $30/60 game. Perhaps some day someone will get the bright idea to make that a time-charge game.
