Actually the Antiguan case has undoubtedly cost us far more than our foolish politicians realize. The psychological power of the WTO to lower barriers to U.S. exports is of enormous importance. By humiliating the WTO as we have, we've undermined their prestige and made it easier for other countries to create and maintain their own trade barriers.
