Default Re: Thoughts on ebaying/reselling ps3\'s

This is time sensitive, but it will still be +EV to sell on ebay a couple weeks after launch. You can always return it for your $$ back.

Just be very careful about getting paid right away with paypal. Folks will string you along looking for a better deal... or just be jerks.
Another option is if you do gets screwed over with the winner of the auction, eBay has a feature called "2nd chance auction" that works like this...
You log in and create a private auction for the bidders that did not win. You can limit it to the just the 2nd highest bidder,(or more if you prefer) you can limit the number of days that have to accept (1,3,7 I believe?)
If you have several systems and the difference between the top bid and the 3rd bid is only $15, make offers to all!
The only deal is... you can only make the offer for what they were willing to bid. So the winner would let's say go for $470, the 2nd chance offer would have to be at the 2nd bidder’s highest price $465 let's say.. and 3rd place would have to be at their price $460.
So why do it? Its makes the buyer feel as if he's got the full protection of eBay/paypal etc.. just like winning so it does not feel like an offline deal with higher risk.
I use it once in awhile for my Zippo lighters, which go for about $65 and I've got a stockpile of...
