Also wrote a letter. He can have his beliefs, but the way it was passed is infuriating. I doubt this passes without piggybacking.

It's best if you introduce yourself as a hetersexual (very important), pro-life, god-fearing christian. Otherwise, your opinion will be discarded.

Also, don't worry about pissing off a future president. The man has polarized himself far too much to win a popular election.

Never write someone off for president in this country...after Nixon and G.W.Bush BOTH got re-elected i think anyone with money and the backing of the right people is capable of holding the office.
Here's my 2008 worse-case scenario:
The Dem's run Hillary, who can't possibly win based soley on the fact that she's a woman and most of the country is too backwards to elect one, and the Republicans run Frist, who has deep, deep pockets and the backing of the religious zealots. Wouldn't even be close.

Sure, any nut job can win (Jesse Ventura anyone?), but Bush convinced a lot of America that he was a compassionate conservative. Frist would need a major makeover to play the moderate card.

I was in MN when this happened too. He was all for personal politics.

What the hell, I nominate David Sklansky for President.
