I'm late to the party but I agree 100% with Victor. Joe, AJ high will say to himself "I didn't even have to pay a bet on the turn to draw so I pretty much owe this bet to the pot, plus I might have the best hand, I call". The fact that no bet went in on the turn makes it a guaranteed call from ace high and I wouldn't be shocked if AJ high check/called both the turn and the river.
