I have no opinion on the report itself. My comments are only on the reporting on the intelligence report. CBS paints such an absolutely skewed view of the findings and eliminates findings of the report to the extent that it paints a false picture. A reader reading the CBS article would naturally conclude - "what a disaster. We are in trouble. Terrorism is getting so much worse". This is not the same impression one gets from reading the declassification.

Why does CBS eliminate all the elements that would provide any validity to Bush's approach? For example, why does CBS not mention that the report says serious damage has been done to the Al Qaida leadership? That is clearly not a minor fact. In fact, it could be a headline for the article.
