Are you saying you can't get away from every 12 out draw you flop oop? Pushing verus a raise and checkraising big versus a bet are different things. FSU has to have either air or not be able to read hero's hand and betting here a lot in order for that push to have as much FE as expected. That's not to say FSU is calling all the time here with AK let alone AJ, but if he isn't some portion of the time then he is just going to be the b*tch of every monkey with a draw.
Playing this slower and more straightforward as JMP said is reasonable. It's true that if a flush card comes it is obvious and certainly hard to get anymore money out of TPTK, but against a set it may. And that is true as well when a gutshot comes and gives FSU top 2.
I never want to be calling my stack off with 1 pair, but I'm also not folding it 100% of the time against non-rock players who play lots of suited connectors.
