This was happening to me just now. I had 3 monster tables and 3 non-monsters. My CPU usage for PartyGaming.exe was always over 90%, usually near 100%. I closed the 3 monsters and replaced them with non-monsters.

Now PartyGaming.exe is still a hog, but it jumps around, and is usually under 50%.
