They would cook a few burgers very early in the morning, and they would pretty much sit there for anyone that wanted to order non-breakfast foods. It would take a few minutes to broil a burger patty, so, instead of waiting around for one, we would just have them premade, sitting around.

I never buy unpopular items at fast food resturaunts any longer, seems typical that they sit around for a bit longer then a typical item.

blinden, thanks. I will consider this going forward. I figured I was in a huge minority ordering food like that and as such it would be made to order. Turns out I must be wrong, because my Jumbo Jack is pretty much always handed to me about 90 seconds after I order it...
