I can see your point. This last weekend I spotted a maniac sitting 4/8 (w/kill) and got myself changed to that table. Imagine my delight to find that he had a maniac buddy and they were driving some action between them (4 way capped turn on a kill pot, AKJ9 board and pocket 8s wins it at showdown). While I was sitting there thinking 'This is great! What a turkey shoot!' I noticed a number of players coming and going, some commenting on 'too much action for me'.

That being said, it seems like even in Vegas that a lot of the rooms are spreading much less mid-limit HE these days and more 1/2NL and 2/5NL. Take the MGM Grand for example...
