Default Re: River decision vs Antonio Esfandiari

My initial reaction was check-call all day.

Raptor almost has me convinced that bet-call is an equally viable option, since I agree that a player of Antonio's caliber is certainly capable of bluff-raising a weak river lead from OP w/ 44-88, which I think comprises a pretty large part of his range.

Only problem is, there's a pretty good chunk of his range that's now ahead of us, too; A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]4[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]5[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 4[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]5[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], K3s, and of course big flopped hands like threes full and A2s and whatnot . . . So the bet-call line would be giving him at least an extra grand or so as opposed to check-calling . . . Guess it comes down to just how often he's gonna bluff shove the river if we bet like $600-$800, and I honestly think it's pretty close . . .

But I prolly still just check-call.
