A good friend of mine walked in on his roomate beating off buck naked to gay porn his freshman year. The roomate swore he wasn't gay. My friend left the room as soon as he saw what he saw, and went and walked around campus. When he came back later that night, there was a lot of silence. Finally the roomate said "earlier, that wasn't what it looked like."
To which my friend replied, "Buddy, I'm pretty sure it couldn't have been anything else than exactly what I saw."

And then... hilarity ensues for all who hear the story, but not my friend with the [censored] roomate

I think it was more silence. Funny follow up, this year he's a junior and he met someone on campus (smallish school) that is roomates with this kid this year. The guy's like "Yea I'm looking forward to it he's a really cool guy. Kind of quiet and to himself, but I can definately deal with that." So my friend says: "You don't care that he's gay?"
Then an arguement ensues about whether or not he's gay.
A week later, the kid apologizes to my friend, says he searched his new roomates computer when he was gone, and found just over 14 hours of gay porn. He couldn't get a roomate change without paying some sort of fine/fee, so he transfered schools because less than two weeks into the school year you can get like 95% of your tuition and room and board back.
I'd give more details, but I don't want to make stuff up and I've only heard this story twice.

Thanks for the follow up, this is interesting.
See, I have mixed feelings about this. The knee-jerk response is to think you and especially your friend are incredible homophobes, and your friend is unscrupulous for invading the kid's privacy.
However, if we're talking a college dorm, which is like 3' by 4', practically smaller than a prison cell, with two young adults living there, then the gay kid has a serious problem for being so flauntingly exhibitionist (even if he thought the roommate wasnt coming back for awhile... come on) and making his roommates obviously uncomfortable.
Tough call.
