Cobra, make sure you are evaluating the drawing potential of the hands out there correctly. Don't automatically go "oooooh I must charge the flush" and pot. Keep this in mind: HU your opponent is not always on the flush draw, but could be on other hands such as mid pair or a weak TP or even a gutshot. You don't want these hands to fold.

Think about your opponents hand range. If your opponent is not extremely fish and if midpairs and gutshots make sense as part of his range, betting 2/3 pot encourages those hands to call while keeping the pot small.

On a board with two tone and/or multiple OESD draws, or multiple villains, potting it is fine, and necessary. And of course never make this play with a dominated hand.
